Any Raiders fan of a certain age won’t soon forget what happened 44 years ago today.
In short, it was hell on earth for any Silver & Black fan. (I remember some little kid crying on the stairs inside his house for hours, but we won’t name names!)
On this day in 1972, Franco Harris grabbed a ball that caromed off of Jack Tatum’s shoulder pads and rambled in for a touchdown to beat the Raiders in perhaps the most stunning finish in NFL history.
